CHRISTMAS IS ON THE WAY

Santa is sending a new hoodie for great Grandson Neji arriving very shortly and maybe even on my birthday . I sure do hope he likes it. Then we have a new hat & mitts for big brother Matiss . The pastel blue will go with his fair hair. Last but not least a new hat for Riley with his mitts. I like the idea that the ear lugs can be removed. Do have a Merry Christmas all.

New Efforts Finally Finished

Well have come to finish some orders for a friend . Boy it did take all summer with this heat to complete them . The fingerless gloves different patterns 5 pair of them were all done in black as
requested so the lovely patte
rns will not show. So later will do them all again in shades that will show off the designers hard work.
The ladies hats are done
two of them. I am afraid that one might be a bit bright so am working on another at the moment to suffice . I do hope that the recipients of the gifts will enjoy as well.
This was done between 26 jars of strawberry ja
m, 6 raspberry jam & 6 peach jam. Still have
one more batch of raspberry to do. So a bit of re
laxing today arm is still sore where growth was cut out but coming along very well. Told not to sit in sun & suck it up so willingly. On to more shaded areas of the back deck.

CATCHING UP

Well I have been slow posting but have time now while the soccer games are on for the next month. I have taken a break this past week and have been busy doing strawberry jam. Our rooms have been painted with the living room complete and the kitchen almost done. Hubby has worked so hard.

I completed two pair of fingerless gloves for a friend but you can't see the lovely patterns as they are black. I also have a pair of slippers asked for in black but the customer never showed up. So will place in trunk for a sale.

Our son finally was able to get high speed for us for our internet. Boy what a difference . Looking forward to downloading pictures. Hope all are well and enjoy the warm sunny days.

RESTOCKING INVENTORY

Well here are a few more articles to deliver to the farm where the alpacas play. Boy fingers are all shrivelled from making thrums to be knitted into the socks. The smaller socks are for children so that they may enjoy the softness of the wool also. Have a few more surprises up my sleeve .

Must be hand washed and laid flat to dry but was told a great way to do them is place in sock bag , handwash and rinse . Then place in washer and spin lightly to take out the water. Lay flat to dry . I place mine on a towel on the top of the freezer. Enjoy all !!!

WARM TOOTIES

Well here are some warm socks to keep you feeling great. They were knitted for Canadian Comfort Alpacas. The first pair are handspun with alpaca & wool . They are very heavy and also have the thrums in the feet to stop the cold. The second is a lighter sock but long for wearing inside your boots also with the thrums in the feet & toes.

The thrums are bits of alpaca fleece knitted into the sock . They form a heart shape pattern and can be done in many colours. Comfort Alpacas like to stay with the natural colours of the alpacas but do have the odd fleeces dyed.

Then i took my turn cutting and colouring my daughters hair. Ever had those shaky hands afraid that you will cut too short???? Well i earned my badge for good judgement and being able to see straight for a change. Must be the new glasses. We are good for a few more months. Thanks Lee Ellen ..
